2009 Western US Regional Oireachtas, Denver, Colorado
We had such a successful weekend at the Western Regional Oireachtas Championships in Denver, Colorado, in November. We were so very proud of all of our dancers performances. Thank you dancers and parents for all your hard work and dedication. A very big THANK YOU to Tony for all of his hard work with the kids. Here are a few exciting results:
1st place 12 & Under Boys' Western Regional Champion --Jake Grey!! -- He also Qualifies for the World Irish Dance Championships held Easter week 2010 in Glasgow, Scotland.
1st place 7& Under Mixed Ceili Champions--Michael Conefrey, Brendan Healy, Melissa Sheridan, Katie McFadden, Claire Naughton, Grace Haskell, Michaela Philipott, and Katarina Connelly!!
1st place Adult Ladies Ceili--Maria-Elena Healy, Carolyn Cody, Karin Haskell, Maura Clancy, Anne Coen, Ann Baglin, Anne Marie Philipott, and Erin O'Grady!! (And to Colette Folan who was at all practices, but became very ill and was not able to compete.)
2nd place 17 & Under Junior Men's Champion--Evan Trudell!--World Qualifer
2nd place 7 & Under Girls' Ceili Champions--Melissa Sheridan, Alannah Ortega, Katie McFadden, Maggie Baglin, Claire Naughton, Grace Haskell, Katarina Connelly and Michaela Philipott.
13th place 18 & Under Ladies' Champ--Andria Camp!--World Qualifer
Congratulations to all the girls that recalled and placed--Christina Spiers (44th Under 14), Molly O'Toole (31st Under 14), Emily Naughton (20th place in the Girls' Under 11), and Autum Amato (47th Under 13).
